Privacy Policy

Ember is built so that we could not read your prayer even if we wanted to — because it never leaves your iPhone. This policy is short because there is very little to say: we do not collect your data, because we have no way to receive it.
What Ember stores, and where
Everything Ember knows — your name (if you choose to share it), your focus areas, favorites, the prayers and intentions you write yourself, your prayer history, reminders, and settings — is stored only on your device and, where applicable, in the private App Group container that Ember's widgets read. Nothing is sent to us, or to anyone else.
What Ember collects
Nothing. Ember contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no trackers, and makes no network requests of its own. There are no purchases — the app is entirely free — so not even store traffic occurs during use. Ember's App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”
Notifications
Prayer-time reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are never sent from a server, because there is no server.
Permissions
Ember asks only for permission to send you notifications, and only when you add your first reminder. It requests no access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or health data, and it shows no tracking prompt because no tracking occurs.
Children
Ember is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Your data, your exit
Deleting Ember deletes everything it stored. There is no account to close and no server copy to request — removing the app is the whole of it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. The privacy commitment — that Ember collects nothing — is the promise we intend to keep.
